B17-E Flying Fortress This is a repaint of HerbieG's B-17F Molly. HerbieG created the aircraft and the .mdl file, The Bird Man repainted it to represent a B-17E Flying Fortress that would have been flying in the Pacific Theater at around June of 1942. This aircraft is similar to the type of B-17 which flew from Midway during the Battle of Midway, and attacked the Japanese from high altitude. No direct hits were scored, though some near misses were made. B-17's in the Pacific Theater did not carry squadron identification codes, and did not carry the elaborate nose art which graced B-17's based in England. They were only used in squadron force in the Pacific up until around Midway, at which time the USAAF realized that the Pacific Theater was not suitable for high altitude bombing, and the B-17's were relegated to the Eurpoean Theater. Bombing duties in the Pacific were thereafter carried out by medium bombers such as the B-25. CFS2

There are four Chinooks in this file for CFS1 - I think this one is the best looking.

Seafire.jpg (54838 bytes)

The first navalized Spitfires, basically Mk Vb airframes with an added arrestor hook, were used mostly for evaluation and training purposes. Seafire Mk Ib: this first version of the Seafire had a strengthened Spitfire Mk Vb airframe, with an arrestor hook, slinging points and naval radios. It was powered by a Merlin 45 (1470 HP) or Merlin 46 (1415 HP) engine. 166 such conversions were made. Seafire Mk IIc: fitted with Spitfire 'c' wings, these planes had catapult spools. The Mk II could carry a 250 kg (500 lb) bomb. 262 such planes were built. Both Mk I and Mk II Seafires were delivered to the Royal Navy in June 1942.  CFS1

This includes the cage and 2 aircraft.  This is a great little tool to practice limited space dogfighting.

F4U-1D  Corsair Visual Model: Microsoft 2.79.45

New 2.79 Version. The 1% F4U-1D is based on the stock MS version and the custom repaint by EasyKill represents the aircraft flown by Lt Cdr John T Blackburn, CO VF-17, Ondonga, November 1943. The exhaust flames are by KRAZY and the additional engine damage effects by SARGE.
F4U-1D Corsair

In early 1944, bomb racks for the F4U-1 were developed by personnel of VMF-222 and VF-17. This modification creating a fighter bomber was rapidly applied by other squadrons. The F4U-1D was the factory-built fighter-bomber model, powered by a R-2800-8W engine with water injection. The F4U-1D had three pylons, one on the centreline and two on the wings. Later small stubs on the outer wing panels, to carry rockets, were added.

Also in early 1944, longer oleos were installed in the main landing gear legs. They cured much of the tendency of the Corsair to "bounce". A longer tailwheel leg raised the fin, and reduced the directional stability problem.

These improvements were essential in making the Corsair suitable for carrier operations, and in April 1944 the Corsair was finally qualified for carrier operations. The cowling gills on top of the fuselage were fixed in the closed position, to avoid the deposition of oil on the windscreen. For similar reasons, the joints of the fuselage fuel tank in front of the cockpit were often covered with sealing tape. These are the white lines you see on a lot of F4U's

Blues Aslito-Created and designed by Steve krom--_231_Blue82_IJN (AKA Bigblue82) with airport.

Blues Aslito features hangers with opening doors, fully lit taxiways, refueling at all the hangers, helicopter and airline terminals.  Great for----:precision landing practice, stall recovery (on short strips) helicopter recons and refueling practice.  Also great for bomb runs as there are many bases around Aslito.  Try some cliff diving from the short runways!

Rescue Island Scenery

Rescue Island.  by RAF_Samson for BRAVO Squad, RAF662CFSG.  Fly it in a Helo to get the best possible view of the landing pad "spider".

Area 51

By RAF_Samson c2003.  This scenery has two runways. Runways 09/27 and 18/36. They are at 656 feet MSL below the rest of the terrain with higher canyons extending out and away from the airfield. There are numerous helo landing pads situated at the airfield and upon the upper table land, gates and logs to fly through if you're good enough, and a large training structure for fixed wing or rotary wing aircraft. There are hangars on the field where you can park your aircraft with night lighting and there are 2 places to refuel. And of course there is a tavern for any who might be thirsty.

CFS2 - The Junkers Ju88 was one of the true multi-role aircraft produced in WW2 as its roles included level-bomber, dive-bomber, torpedo-bomber, night-fighter, interceptor, tank-buster, mine-layer and, in the final stages of the war, a flying bomb - when it was used as the lower half of the "Mistel" composite.

It operated both by day and night everywhere from the Mediterranean and Norway to the Russian steppes, and was by far the Luftwaffe's best and most-used bomber aircraft. Still in production when hostilities ceased, it was also easily the most numerous German bomber; indeed, it was built in numbers that equalled that of all other German bombers combined - approximately 15,000 JU88s being produced between 1939 and the end of 1945.

This aircraft is JU88A-4, 9K-DS, of KG51, Gruppe 111, Staffel 8.

CFS2 - Even before hostilities broke out, Willy Messerschmitt was working on a successor to the BF 110 Zerstorer. This aircraft, the Me 210 first flew
on 5 september 1939 but exhibited unacceptable handling in both the yawing
and pitching planes. Solutions to the handling problem were not easily found
and it was not until March 1942 that good flying qualities were achieved
by fitting a longer and deeper rear fuselage, a revised wing with straight
taper and outer-wing slats, more powerful engines, and many other changes.
To avoid the stigma attached to the Me210, this highly modified aircraft
was designated the Me 410.
